Elaine is an amazing property manager during my past 3 years. She always liked having residents gatherings in the club room during holidays, maintenance was quick with fixing little issues. The washer dryer stacked uses more water and louder vs others, but are being replaced.The gym and hot tub (7a-10p )were my favorite part of staying at this property . Small Study/Meeting room for in the lobby with WiFi and a dog wash for all the furry friends in the building.Parking area is all gated with CCTV, no security on site parking is included! , my bike was stolen in bike area next to elevators with a U-lock so I would suggest keeping bike in apt. They are planning to have a bike storage area after this incident. It’s a great place, won’t find many property managers like Elaine

I lived at Strauss for 3 years (had to relocate because my husband is military, not because I wanted to). I have nothing but good things to say about living here. Location is great because you're close enough to walk to good restaurants and bars, but far enough away that you don't hear them. I also loved how close it was to Balboa Park. I never had any issues with noise from neighbors at weird times & everyone in the building is very friendly. The best part about this building though is that it is run by an AWESOME leasing manager. Elaine has worked there throughout my entire stay, and she is what makes this place so special. This apartment is run so well & you can see that she actually cares about making it a better place. Any time I've had a maintenance request (minimal things), it has been responded to quickly. She's great at communicating things going on in the building & providing timelines for when things are being done. Also, my move was very stressful due to outside circumstances & she accommodated all of my requests, all while being nice & having a great attitude. I'm so sad to be leaving Strauss :( I definitely recommend it to anyone needing a new place to live!

For a little over a year now, my boyfriend and I have been fortunate enough to call The Strauss our home, and we couldn't be happier! The building exudes cleanliness and is impeccably maintained. The brand new appliances add a modern touch to our living space, making it even more inviting. And let's talk about the amenities – they are absolutely amazing and cater to our every need! But what truly sets The Strauss apart is its commitment to safety. With top-of-the-line security features, we feel secure and at ease every day. Elaine, the leasing manager, deserves a special shout-out for her exceptional dedication. She is genuinely the best leasing manager we have ever encountered. Elaine's care and concern for the building and each resident is truly commendable. She creates a sense of community and makes everyone feel valued and at home. If you're searching for the perfect place to live, look no further than The Strauss. The cleanliness, amazing amenities, and outstanding service provided by Elaine and the entire team make it an unbeatable choice. Prepare to fall in love with your new home!

Strauss on fifth is a great place to live because of the wonderful staff. Elaine is always at the office to greet you and take care of any concerns. The community is always clean, maintenance was prompt and did good job. I have nothing negative to say and I had a great time leaving here walking distance from Balboa Park it was a beautiful place and my patio was very private. You will hear some homeless people around but I still loved living here.

My husband and I love living in Strauss. It is a great building with beautiful common spaces, that is always kept clean. We love our 2 bedroom 2 bath layout which has a very open living room and kitchen floor plan. It is located close to balboa park and there are a bunch of great restaurants & coffee shops that are walking distance. The property management team (Elaine and Tanner), maintenance crew and cleaning staff are awesome and always willing to help! Also love how dog friendly it is!
