Don't believe any of the positive reviews. Talk to long term residents: 1. The elevators have continuously been down. 2. When the elevator are working, they are significantly slower than any other apartment complex downtown and are the main cause of residents breaking lease or not renewing. 3. Management will never give you a response, every returned email is a lawyerly non-answer. 4. There is techno being blasted outside at 6AM. I've had to deal with this on multiple occasions. 5. Broken glass on the rooftop and repair equipment. 6. Multiple units flooded and unlivable with management making ZERO effort to communicate and resolve tenant issues. There's a reason this building is always low occupancy. Don't do it. You were warned. If you're really curious, come to the building and ask a few random residents how they feel about the West for an honest answer.

I have been living at West for approximately 3 months and wanted to give an honest review. First off, Claire was EXCEPTIONAL. She is the warmest person and it truly feels like she cares about your experience and general well being. From move in to now, we have experienced nothing but good from Claire. She was helpful, kind, attentive and went out of her way to help with our needs. The building is beautiful, we are on one of the higher floors and the view is gorgeous and floor to ceiling windows make the units feel extra spacious. The location is great and very walkable to Gaslamp, Little Italy and the harbor. Overall a great experience so far.

I absolutely love living at West! The views from the 37th floor are truly breathtaking, and my apartment is just as beautiful as I had hoped. What really makes this community stand out is the incredible office and maintenance team, they’re always welcoming, professional, and quick to help with anything I need. Their level of customer service makes a huge difference day to day. The new manager, Cordell, has been fantastic. Very responsive, attentive, and clearly committed to creating a great living experience for residents. Overall, I couldn’t be happier here and will definitely be renewing my lease!

I’ve been a resident here since July 2024 and I love it! Being legally blind, the central location and access to public transit make a big difference. I feel safe and secure, staff has been great, and it’s very dog-friendly. Only downside is occasional elevator delays, which is pretty typical for high-rise living. Although there is a Starbucks across the street there is a coffee spot coming to the lobby at later end of 2026 is a nice plus. 👍

Living here is an absolute dream. The neighbors are incredibly friendly, and there is a genuine sense of community in our daily greetings. The amenities are top-tier—specifically the gym, pool, and spa. My leasing agent, Casey McCracken, made the move-in process seamless, while Claire ensured everything went perfectly on move-in day. The downtown location is ideal, offering easy walkability to Harborside, Little Italy, the Gaslamp Quarter, and Seaport Village. Additionally, maintenance is efficient, and resident parking is highly convenient. I strongly recommend this high-rise for anyone looking to embrace the San Diego downtown lifestyle.
