Overall, I give it two stars. Only because the ocean view was decent. That’s about it… the room I was put in did not seem anything like the pictures on the website. The room was actually depressing. You go on a vacation, book a hotel because it’s nice and comforting and relaxing. Nope. This is the first time in all my travels I did not feel like that. To the point I have to make a review!! The air conditioner unit seemed like it worked half the time. You didn’t know if you’d get hot or cold water so you’d spend a couple minutes messing with that. And then, the transition from the carpet to the restroom tile is… duct tape? I spent how much money for a week vacation? I spent how much extra for an ocean view? I spent how much for parking? To receive a depressing room, with Motel 6 vibes. I came with my family for my son’s 1st birthday and I didn’t even feel comfortable taking him off the table. Then our patio… cheapest chairs and table ever. At least get check out a clearance section at target come on. Never again. First and last time staying at any Wyndham.

The rooms are outdated and are in serious need of a face lift. I am also pretty sure its a fire hazard waiting to happen. I called the front desk because there is a super plastic burning smell in the room. It is strong enough to cause an instant headache. They sent someone up who told me the smell is coming from the curtain fabric (which it is not) and sprayed the room with air freshener. Meanwhile the smell is not going away and it smells like melting wires. I called to see if I can change rooms and was told they will call me back (you would think they would try to handle it quickly). If I could I would change hotels. Unfortunately, I am kind of stuck. Definitely do not recommend. Wish I could get my money back. The location is decent. Its close to the Midway museum which is a plus. Probably the only nice thing I can say about this hotel.

The location of the hotel is great. It’s overlooking the pier and you get a perfect view of the sunset. Other than that, this hotel is not worth the price we paid. It is very outdated in every aspect. Also, $50 parking a night. For the price we paid, we could have stayed somewhere a lot nicer. Also, the towers do not feel secure. It feels like anyone can just get in and nobody would even know because there is no staff manning the front desk in tower 3. Housekeeping was great! Very friendly and attentive.

We had a wonderful stay at the Wyndham San Diego Bayside. The location was excellent, with beautiful views of the bay and the USS Midway right from our room. We had a balcony overlooking the water, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. It was also very convenient to have Claim Jumper restaurant located on-site for meals. Overall, the combination of the great location, stunning bay views, clean accommodations, and excellent customer service made for a fantastic stay. We would definitely stay here again when visiting San Diego.
