When you have to make that first phone call to a funeral home, you’re usually a mess. But from the very second Beardsley-Mitchell answered, I felt an immediate sense of relief. They stepped in with so much genuine compassion and calm guidance right when we needed it most, handling all the heavy lifting so we could just focus on saying goodbye.

The staff was friendly and helpful. They coordinated everything very well with Miramar National Cemetery. Promptly returned our phone calls and answered all of our questions. My son looked nice for our family viewing. It seemed to take a long time to get the cremation done but then I don’t know what the wait time should be. We were happy with Beardsley-Mitchell Funeral Home.

I didn’t take any photos because I’m always hesitant to do that in a funeral home. I did love the windows in the main room where the casket laid. The greenery planted on the outside of the funeral home looked stunning when the sunshine came past the windows. The space was nice and cold. I’m not too sure of all the names of the areas which we were in. But the room where we ate before the service was spacious. The food was presented very well and tasted delicious. The food that was prepared was made in house, freshly made croissants etc came out every so often. The people that worked there were respectful and helped out a lot. Overall, the service went nicely and in a timely manner. Didn’t feel rushed and the interior of the funeral home was really stunning.

Wonderful compassionate service. We only used Beardsley Mitchell for cremation and official paper work but they are officiant and communicate well with the family. Like to patronize our local businesses and this one has been in our Ocean Beach community for many years.

Making final arrangements for my father was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do, and I cannot thank Julie and the staff at Beardsley-Mitchell enough for being with me every step of the way. They made me comfortable from the first and very difficult phone call. They were always available to answer any questions or respond to my concerns. They care!

After losing my father in law, the Beardsley-Mitchell team made my husband and I feel at peace. From the moment we got there we felt welcomed as if we were family. They encouraged us to make the service our own and decorate as if it was my father in law's home, which we did! Everything turned out soo lovely, it made the heartbreak of his loss feel less stressful! We will forever cherish the memory of his service. Thank you Beardsley-Mitchell for helping us through this difficult time.

From the moment I met their staff until this day, everyone I have interacted with has been not only respectful but actually loving toward the care of our deceased and toward us, the survivors. Dignity Memorial/Beardsley Mitchell Funeral Home provided my family exceptional care and compassion, as well as professional and organized support during the process of burying our mother. We are all very pleased with how smoothly everything was planned from receiving her at the airport from out-of-state to the flag-folding ceremony for our veteran mother. We wish to thank Megan for her guidance and advice, the support from the staff and the additional services we received. We also thank Rev David McKinney for his understanding counseling and handling our family and friends with grace and kindness.
